I’m Rosa, and I’m excited to connect with all of you through this platform. As an outdoor enthusiast, a tech consultant, and a helper at heart, I find joy in assisting others, just like many of you.

Although I majored in Computer Science at the University of Florida, I’ve discovered that my true passion lies in supporting and empowering individuals. I believe that lending a helping hand can make a significant difference in people’s lives, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of this program.

When I’m not immersed in my work, you can often find me engaged in various outdoor activities. I absolutely love rock climbing, roller blading, scuba diving, kayaking, biking, hiking, and swimming. These adventures bring me closer to nature and help me find a sense of peace and exhilaration.

During my downtime, I have a few other hobbies that I’m equally passionate about. One of them is singing, predominantly in the musical theater style. The world of performing arts has always fascinated me, and it’s a wonderful way for me to express myself creatively.

Additionally, I actively engage in volunteering at The DART Center (https://thedartcenter.org/about/), where I contribute to causes close to my heart. Being able to make a positive impact on the lives of others brings me immense satisfaction and fulfillment.

Another area of interest for me is psychology and social justice. I enjoy reading books on these subjects to expand my knowledge and understanding. Currently, I’m engrossed in the recent biography of Martin Luther King Jr. that was released a few months ago in May (https://www.nytimes.com/2023/05/08/books/the-new-definitive-biography-of-martin-luther-king-jr.html). It’s an incredibly compelling book that sheds new light on the life and legacy of an extraordinary individual.

In the days ahead, I’m eager to use my skills and experiences to support and empower families on their journey. It’s heartening to know that a program like this exists, where we can come together, learn from each other, and make a positive impact. I look forward to connecting with all of you and embarking on this meaningful journey together.
