Mentor Monday
Introducing Stacie
Hello, my name is Stacie and I’m excited about this journey and the opportunity to bless other parents through the reunification process by providing skills, services, and knowledge to help them successfully achieve and maintain their parenting goals. As a mother of four (Ages 22, 21, 19, and 15), I understand the hardships of navigating the challenges of working with children throughout the various stages of life and hope to bring a listening ear as well as much-needed support and guidance. I have an extensive background in early childhood education and recently obtained my master’s degree in human services counseling. One of the best things about working with others and being a mentor is watching them grow confident in their abilities to start believing in themselves!

Introducing Rochelle
Hello, my name is Rochelle Alley. I run a small business helping non-profits and governmental organizations to help support families in the community. I am grateful I have had the opportunity to help others through both my work and personal pursuits. I started volunteering over 20 years ago, teaching women in prison and volunteering at church.
Parenting is hard even in the best of circumstances and children don’t come with an instruction manual. It can be even harder when life is complex; money is short; unstable housing; feelings of isolation; struggling with mental health or addiction. And at the same time,
I have seen through work and personal connections how foundational it is when families are able to successfully reunify, and how powerfully so many parents are able to successfully step up to reconnect with their children.
I have 2 children, in 6th and 8th grades, who keep me learning and growing as a parent – both of whom like music, sports, math and reading. One of my children has had special needs, so I am familiar with the process of advocating in the schools and know how helpful it can be to have a fellow parent by your side who understands the journey.
I am looking forward as a mentor to being able to be that person “by your side” for parents who are looking for support as they weather their current journey.
Introducing Verdier
Hi, my name is Verdier, and I am a married family man with 3 children and, part of a congregation that sticks together with others to help. The reason why I wanted to become a mentor is because I see my level of education and my passion to help families. I was a president of the youth in my church, and I realized that there are many children who fall into bad actions or are dying because no one is thinking about them. I want to help them, and I think I can play a big role in their lives. Everyone needs affection and time, and I believe that I can make a difference in their lives.
Parental guidance is also key in a child’s development. I want to help fathers with that. A true mentor is there to listen in both good and bad times, help him to guide and protect his child in life. I have influences in my life that help me with golf and with learning critical life skills that will aid me throughout life. A mentor can do that, I am grateful that I am a mentor.
