Medical Foster Care
We are thrilled to announce an exciting partnership between The Florida Department of Health, Children’s Medical Service’s Medical Foster Care (MFC) program and Adoption-Share. Together, we are launching the Family-Match recruitment portal to support the recruitment of MFC families, starting in April 2023.
The Family-Match recruitment portal has been developed to assist agencies in identifying prospective foster parents at an early stage. By utilizing a centralized and data-driven recruitment tool, Children’s Medical Services (CMS) can sustain targeted strategies to recruit MFC parents. With your continued support and partnership, this portal will greatly enhance our ability to identify and recruit medical foster care parents in Florida.
Starting this month, Florida parents who are interested in fostering children referred to the MFC program will be able to access CMS’s Family-Match recruitment portal. If you are interested or would like to learn more, please register or visit the following link: Family-Match.
Your participation in this program is crucial to its success. By referring interested parents to the Family-Match application and continuing to collaborate with your local MFC team, we can make a significant impact in the lives of children in need. The teams at Children’s Medical Services and Adoption-Share are available to provide additional information and assistance to support our collaborative efforts.
For more information about our partnership with Adoption-Share and the implementation process, please contact Lalania White, Director of CMS Specialty Programs, at Lalania.White@flhealth.gov, or Michelle Giordano, Director of Family-Match, at Michelle@adoption-share.com.
