My name is Jacquie and I work in healthcare. Through the years I’ve come to realize that most people just want someone to listen and be supportive on their journey, whatever they’re facing. I do not have all the answers and I certainly do not expect to, but the feedback I receive is genuine thankfulness for just taking the time to listen and be present.

So that is why I want to volunteer to be a mentor. Community is so important as are interpersonal relationships. So just being present, passing no judgement, and knowing sometimes we all need a helping hand is how I approach this opportunity.
