CHILDREN’S NETWORK OF SWFL RECEIVES CIRCUIT 13 CBC CONTRACT

Children’s Network of Southwest Florida is pleased to announce that the Florida Department of Children and Families has awarded us the contact to become the lead community-based care agency for Florida Judicial Circuit 13 (Hillsborough County).

“We are delighted to be awarded this new contract and the opportunity to make an even greater difference in the lives of children and families in the Sunshine State,” said Children’s Network CEO Nadereh Salim. “We are committed to giving our very best every day to help create a comprehensive system of care that is responsive to the needs of the community and can result in the best outcomes possible for children and families in Tampa and all of Hillsborough County.”

For the new contract, Children’s Network will take a collaborative approach informed by input received from stakeholders in the community — including foster parents, providers, educators, the faith community, clients, kinship care providers, law enforcement, the judiciary, and more. This vital feedback will help the agency tailor our efforts to meet the unique needs of children and families in Hillsborough County, including prevention and diversion efforts to help stop abuse and neglect before they start.

Children’s Network will share more information about the new agreement and our expansion into Hillsborough County as it becomes available. In the meantime, the agency wishes to express its gratitude to all of the employees, board members, community leaders, foster parents, volunteers, and others who have been part of our child welfare family in Circuit 20 for the past 19 years. We look forward to continuing to help children and families in Southwest Florida thrive as we expand our services to embrace Hillsborough County.
