CHANGE A LIFE FOR GOOD.
In Southwest Florida, hundreds of kids have experienced abuse and neglect. These children, teens, and groups of siblings urgently need a safe, loving refuge. If you have ever felt called to care for kids, please consider opening your heart and home as a foster or adoptive parent now. You can make a difference for a lifetime.
Children’s Network of Southwest Florida will be with you every step of the way. We are the private, nonprofit lead agency that administers the child welfare system in Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry, and Glades Counties. Our mission is to work with the community to protect children and preserve families. And together we can change a life for good.
HONORING BLACK HISTORY MONTH
Children’s Network of Southwest Florida is pleased to join our community, state, and nation in commemorating Black History Month this February.
We all stand on the shoulders of African American giants like Frederick Douglass, Harriet Tubman, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Here in Southwest Florida, pioneering Black citizens like educator J.S. Williams and police officer Carl Strickland have also left an enduring legacy. The Black community is vital to our history and a valued part of our shared life today.
This Black History Month presents the ideal opportunity to rededicate ourselves to working for equality and recognizing the inherent dignity of everyone in our community. Let us build each other up, learning from yesterday to achieve a better tomorrow for all.
