CHANGE A LIFE FOR GOOD.

In Southwest Florida, hundreds of kids have experienced abuse and neglect. These children, teens, and groups of siblings urgently need a safe, loving refuge. If you have ever felt called to care for kids, please consider opening your heart and home as a foster or adoptive parent now. You can make a difference for a lifetime.

Children’s Network of Southwest Florida will be with you every step of the way. We are the private, nonprofit lead agency that administers the child welfare system in Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry, and Glades Counties. Our mission is to work with the community to protect children and preserve families. And together we can change a life for good.

CELEBRATING FREEDOM ON JUNETEENTH

Juneteenth Is Wednesday, June 19, 2024

Children’s Network of Southwest Florida is pleased to honor Juneteenth. This annual celebration, also known as Freedom Day, dates back many years in the African-American community. It is the anniversary of the day in 1865 when Major General Gordon Granger ordered the final enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation in Texas. Juneteenth became a federal holiday in 2021 – the first new federal holiday since Martin Luther King Day was adopted in 1983. We honor Juneteenth as a day to commemorate freedom, equality, and the incredible contributions of Black Americans to our common life in Southwest Florida and across the nation!
